General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all reservations and bookings of rooms and other services at Gasthof Aschenwald, regardless of whether these are made by telephone, by email or via our website.

Upon completion of a booking, a contract for accommodation is formed between the guest and Gasthof Aschenwald.

A booking is considered binding as soon as it has been confirmed in writing by Gasthof Aschenwald or finalised via the relevant booking system.

The guest is obliged to provide complete and accurate details when making a booking.

The prices confirmed at the time of booking apply. All prices are quoted in euros and include statutory VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise. The applicable local tax is not included.

Payment is generally made on arrival, either in cash or by credit or debit card. Gasthof Aschenwald reserves the right to require a deposit for certain bookings or periods. Guests will be informed of this at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise agreed, rooms are available from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival.

On the day of departure, rooms must be vacated by 10.00.

Different times may be arranged subject to availability and prior agreement.

The cancellation terms and conditions provided at the time of booking apply. These form an integral part of the accommodation contract. If cancellation is not made in good time, or if the guest fails to arrive without cancelling (no-show), cancellation charges will be applied in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.


Our cancellation policy:
Your booking is deemed to be confirmed and binding upon receipt of the agreed deposit.

In the event of a cancellation, we will charge the following fees:

Winter
up to 30 days before arrival: 30% of the total price
up to 21 days before arrival: 50% of the total price
up to 14 days before arrival: 80% of the total price
From 7 days before arrival and in the event of a no-show: 100% of the total price

Summer
Up to 14 days before arrival: free cancellation
From 13 days before arrival and in the event of a no-show: 100% of the total price

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance so that you are financially covered in the event of an unexpected cancellation.

The guest undertakes to treat the rooms and all the hotel’s facilities with due care.

The guest is liable for any damage caused in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Out of consideration for all guests, we ask that you observe the house rules.

Gasthof Aschenwald is liable within the limits set out by law.

The statutory liability provisions for accommodation providers apply to valuables, cash or other items brought onto the premises.

No liability is accepted for failures or disruptions beyond our control (e.g. force majeure, natural disasters or official orders).

Austrian law shall apply.

To the extent permitted by law, the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions (ÖHVB), in their currently valid version, shall apply in addition to these General Terms and Conditions.

Should any individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
